Gunslinger in the Abyss offers a variety of attractive cards, just like previous booster packs, ranging from centerpiece cards that form the backbone of your deck, to auxiliary cards that boost your current deck's power. Limit Break—a feature now indispensable to FFTCG—is fleshed out even further, adding further variety of strategies to your deck.

Many characters will be making their first appearance in FFTCG. This includes the following from FINAL FANTASY XIV: The Twelve; The First Brood, which has been turned into cards for the very first time; and new Primals, who will now be joining in the battle.
